Which region should lead your channel list, and what it really changes
The checkout question people overthink. What ordering actually does, why it never limits what you receive, and how mixed-language households should set it.
It is an order, not a filter
The region you pick at checkout sets which country groups appear at the top of your list. Everything else is still there, in the same list, a little further down. Nothing is removed, disabled or withheld.
We labour this point because it is the single most common misunderstanding at checkout, and because people occasionally buy a second subscription to get channels they already had.
Why the order matters more than it sounds
A full international list runs to thousands of entries across dozens of country groups. On a phone that is a long scroll. On a television remote it is a genuinely irritating one, especially for somebody who is not confident with the interface.
Putting your own region first turns a nightly search into a single press. That is the entire benefit, and it is a bigger one than it looks in writing.
Households that watch in two languages
The usual pattern in a family that has moved is that the parents watch news and sport from home and the children watch cartoons and local television in the new language. Both sets are included, so the only decision is whose viewing is more frequent.
Our advice is to lead with whatever gets watched on a weekday evening rather than whatever feels like the household identity, then hide the groups nobody opens. A shorter list beats a philosophically correct one.
Changing it later
Message support with your order number and say which region you would like at the top. We change it on our side and you see the new order the next time the app refreshes its list. There is no charge and no limit on how often you ask.
If you would rather not wait, most players let you build your own favourites list on the device, which overrides the order entirely and is worth doing for the twenty or thirty channels you actually watch.
Not quite your situation?
Send your order number, the device you are on and the country you are in. A person reads it, and the third detail is usually the one that solves it.
