Strong 8K World on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Apple does not allow installers from outside its store, so you take a player from the App Store and feed it your details. It is the fastest setup of all of them.
Before you start

Install a player
Look through the App Store for a player whose description mentions Xtream Codes. Several are free with an optional one-off upgrade. On Apple TV, the same search in the tvOS store usually finds the television version of whichever one you picked.
Add the subscription
Add an account rather than a playlist, pick the Xtream Codes option, and copy the server, username and password from your account page. On an Apple TV, accept the prompt that offers your iPhone as the keyboard, because typing this on the remote is punishment.
Check the region and clock
In iOS settings, confirm the date and time are set automatically and the region matches where you are now. Apple devices carried across borders sometimes hold onto the old zone until they are woken on a local network.
Send it to the television
If you are in a hotel or a short let with no box of your own, AirPlay from the phone to the room television when it supports it, or carry a short HDMI adapter. Both are lighter than travelling with a streaming stick.
Worth knowing
- Low Power Mode throttles background network activity and will interrupt a long stream. Turn it off before a film rather than during one.
- An App Store account registered to another country does not affect your subscription in any way. The player is just a player.
- On iPad, lock the rotation before you settle in. Nothing ruins a match like the screen flipping every time you move.
