One price, in dollars, from anywhere

Nothing renews on its own, which matters when your card is about to be replaced by a local one or you are moving again in the spring. Pick a length, pay once, and it runs until the day it stops.

Prices are quoted in US dollars. Your bank converts to your own currency at its card rate, so the amount on your statement will differ slightly from the figure above.

What changes, what does not

The plan length is the only decision

There is no reduced package, no country add-on and no channel pack sold separately. Four things are worth knowing before you pick.

The same everywhere

There is no country pricing and no regional tier. A subscriber in Manchester, Muscat or Montreal pays the identical amount for the identical service.

Length is the only variable

A one month plan and a two year plan deliver exactly the same channels and the same support. The longer commitment simply costs less per month.

Slots, not seats

One slot streams one screen at a time. Add slots at checkout for a partner, a parent abroad or a second address, and they share a single expiry date.

Nothing stored, nothing recurring

Payment is taken once through a 3-D Secure gateway. We do not keep your card, so nothing can be charged again without you starting it.

Included everywhere

Everything on this list, on every plan

A single month buys the same line-up, the same quality and the same support as a lifetime subscription. We have never seen the sense in selling a customer abroad a cut-down version of the thing they moved away from.

Questions

Paying and planning from abroad

Will Strong 8K World work in the country I have moved to?

In almost every case, yes. The subscription is delivered over ordinary internet traffic rather than a satellite footprint or a national broadcaster licence, so it is not tied to the country you signed up from. Customers watch from across Europe, the Gulf, North America, Australia, South East Asia and West Africa on the same lines they set up somewhere else. The only real requirement is a connection that can hold a steady stream, which most home broadband and a great many hotel connections can.

Can I take my subscription with me when I travel?

Yes, and there is nothing to switch on before you go. Your login is not registered to an address, a router or a country, so the same details that work on the television at home work on a laptop in a rented flat two thousand miles away. Install a player on whatever you are travelling with, sign in once before you leave so you know it works, and it will pick up again wherever you land.

Which languages and regions are actually included?

Every plan carries the full line-up, which spans English, Arabic, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Turkish, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Dutch, Polish, Romanian and the Nordic languages, among others. That covers general entertainment, news, sport, film, documentary and channels for children from each region. There is no premium tier keeping anything back, because there is only ever one tier.

What is the region I pick at checkout actually doing?

It changes the running order of your channel list and nothing else. Choosing Europe puts the UK, Irish, German, French, Italian and Spanish groups at the top. Choosing Arabic puts the Gulf and North African groups there instead. You still receive everything either way. The point is that you open the app and your own channels are the first thing on screen rather than several thousand entries down. Ask us to reorder it later and we will, at no cost.

Do I need a VPN?

Most people do not, and we would rather you tried without one first because a VPN adds a hop and can cost you a little speed. Where it genuinely helps is on connections that interfere with sustained video, which is common on some hotel networks, some university halls, and with a handful of internet providers who shape streaming traffic in the evening. If your picture is fine at breakfast and unwatchable at nine at night, that is the pattern a VPN usually cures.
