Before you start
- A Samsung Tizen or LG webOS set from 2018 or later

Fetch a player from the built-in store
Search the built-in store, Samsung Apps on Tizen or the Content Store on webOS, for an IPTV player. Which ones appear depends on the country the set is registered to, so install whatever is offered to you rather than hunting for a specific name.
Deal with the registration screen
Some television players show a device key on first launch and want it registered on their own site before they will load anything. If yours does, do that step now, because the playlist screen will stay empty until it is done.
Enter your details
Create a playlist and feed it either the M3U link or the three Xtream fields. The Xtream route costs you more typing on a remote and repays it with a working programme guide, which the plain link does not always carry.
Trim the list before you judge it
Television processors are slow. Hide the country groups you never watch, and the interface stops feeling sluggish immediately. This single step resolves most complaints about smart television performance.
Set the television clock
Check the time zone in the television settings, not just the router. Televisions moved between countries often keep the zone they were first set up in, which throws out every programme time in the guide.
Worth knowing
- Sets older than 2018 struggle with large lists. A cheap stick in the HDMI port gives a far better result than fighting the television.
- If the app is missing from the store in your new country, check whether the television has a region setting for the store itself.
- In a rented flat, note the television model before you order anything. Samsung and LG behave quite differently and it saves a round of questions with support.
